Tax Pragya: Deloitte Launches New AI-Powered Tax Research Platform: Everything You Need to Know
Deloitte India announced the launch of a next-generation AI-powered tax research tool called Tax Pragya, which will help tax professionals research and interpret India's tax laws.

Tax Pragya will help simplify complex tax research across income tax, GST/indirect tax, and transfer pricing and will offer faster, more accurate insights than traditional research tools. Deloitte India says Tax Pragya is built to deliver "speed, accuracy and strategic clarity" using responsible AI.
Key Features of Tax Pragya
Tax Pragya is an AI-powered, mobile-friendly tax research and insights platform built on Deloitte's deep tax domain expertise.
Unlike conventional tax search tools that simply retrieve documents, Tax Pragya's AI capabilities will analyse context, interpret complex tax queries, and generate substantiated answers backed by case laws and statutory references.
The platform supports AI-driven tax research, contextual query resolution, and cross-tax learning across income tax, GST, indirect tax, and transfer pricing.
Additionally, the platform will also have an interactive chatbot navigation which will provide one-click extraction of case laws and tax documents into the chat interface.
Sumit Singhania, Partner, Deloitte India, said Tax Pragya is built as an agentic AI platform specifically trained for tax applications. Tax Pragya turns complex questions into clear, actionable insights. After a successful internal pilot with more than 2,000 Deloitte professionals, we're seeing new-age technologies fundamentally reshape the pace and precision of tax knowledge."
According to Gokul Chaudhri, President, Tax, Deloitte India, "Tax Pragya enables tax professionals to operate with greater confidence, clarity and strategic foresight. Tax Pragya represents a pivotal shift in how tax teams can use responsible AI to access technical insights at speed. Our vision is to enable organisations to operate with greater confidence, resilience and strategic tax foresight."
India's tax system has been evolving rapidly in the last few years. Deloitte said that organisations are now looking for technology that can help them keep up with this pace, especially as tax teams move away from manual processes toward end-to-end digital tax functions.
