Suzlon Energy Share Price Today: Shares of Suzlon Energy rallied around 5% during Friday's morning trading session after the company gave a major update related to its new project. The green energy stock gained investors' attention for two more reasons related to futures and options (F&O) trading and the government's policy change.
Suzlon Energy's share price was trading 5% higher at Rs 64.57 per share on BSE on Friday, August 1, with a market capitalisation of Rs 88,651.17 crore. The stock had earlier touched an intraday high mark of Rs 65.50 per share on BSE.

Suzlon Energy Ties Up With m Zelestra India For Green Energy Project
Suzlon Energy, on Friday, announced that it has secured a 381 MW order from Zelestra India and its affiliates. This would help the renewable energy producing company to execute their first-ever FDRE project.
"This collaboration highlights a growing industry shift, where companies embarking on their renewable energy journey are turning to Suzlon as their trusted wind energy partner. With proven end-toend capabilities, from cutting-edge turbine technology to 25 years of lifecycle support, Suzlon is empowering both corporate and utility players to meet their decarbonization goals with scale, reliability, and speed," noted Suzlon Energy in its press release on Friday.
The 381 MW project includes 127 of Suzlon's S144 turbines spread across multiple states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. The project will be carried out as a part of SJVN's FDRE bid in Maharashtra, MP and TN portion.
Suzlon Energy Available For F&O Trading
Suzlon Energy will start trading in the futures and options (F&O) segment from Friday, 1 August. Futures and Options trading are derivative instruments that are traded on the stock exchange. The value of these stocks is derived from the price of an underlying asset.
Policy Update on Wind Turbines
The third reason that might have impacted the investors' sentiment around the stock is the government's policy change for wind turbines. The central government has increased the domestic content requirement for wind turbines, reported CNBC TV18. As per the report, the government has mandated that blades, towers, gearboxes, generators and bearings have to now be sourced from Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALIMM).
Suzlon Energy Share Price Trend
Suzlon Energy shares opened higher on Friday. The company stock touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 86.04 per share on 29 September, 2024. The company scrip dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 46 apiece on 7 April, 2025. The stock value has declined around 3% in one month but has increased by 11% in six months.
