Closing Bell: Sensex Closes 183 Pts Lower; Nifty Flat At 25,466.15; Hindalco, Tata Steel, Apollo Top Laggards
Nifty 50 and Sensex ended flat on Wednesday. Nifty 50 fell by 46 points to 25,476 points. Whereas, BSE Sensex ended 176.43 points lower at 83,536.08 per share. At Noon, Sensex was trading slightly lower at 83,689.14, down 23.37 points or 0.03%, while the Nifty held steady at 25,521.20, slipping just 1.30 points or 0.005%. The benchmarks indices are trading largely flat today amid mixed global sentiment.
The Indian stock market is expected to open on a flat to slightly positive note today, with GIFT Nifty trading at 25,537, up by 10 points. This indicates a neutral to mildly optimistic start for domestic equities.

In the previous trading session, the Nifty 50 index closed at 25,461, gaining 55 points. The index is now approaching a key resistance zone between 25,650 and 25,670. A decisive breakout above this range could open the door for further upside toward the 25,800-26,000 levels.
On the downside, holding above the 25,510 mark is crucial to maintain bullish momentum, while a drop below 25,400 may trigger short-term weakness.
Meanwhile, global market sentiment remains mixed, with Wall Street futures showing weakness and Asian markets closing with varied performances. Investors are closely monitoring the July 9 deadline for U.S. tariffs and the possibility of a mini trade deal between India and the United States.

Crizac Ltd made a blockbuster debut on the stock exchanges today, July 9, giving its IPO investors listing gains of nearly 15%. The stock listed at Rs. 281.05 on NSE and Rs. 280 on BSE, compared to its issue price of Rs. 245 per share, which was at par with the grey market expectations. The Crizac IPO GMP had been hovering around Rs. 41 to Rs. 42 in the unofficial market, predicting a listing gain of around 17%, and the actual listing lived up to the hype.
