Stock Market Live Updates: Nifty ends Above 25,400, Sensex Rises 190 Pts; Bajaj Finance, Dr Reddy, Top Gainers

On Friday, July 4, the equity markets closed with marginal gains ending the week after falling for two days, with the Sensex closing at 83,432.89, down 193.42 points or 0.23%, while the Nifty 50 closed 55.70 points to close at 25461, marking rise of 0.22%.

Top Nifty gainers were Bajaj Finance, Dr Reddy, Infosys, Hindustan Uniliver, ICICI Bank among others. While, Trent, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors, Indusind Bank, Maruti and SBI Life were the top losers of the day with Trent falling over 11%.

The Indian stock market has shown lukewarm performance since the beginning of the week as investors remained cautious due to geopolitical uncertainty and stock market volatility.

Nifty ended marginally lower at 25,403.5 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed 170 points lower at 83,239.47points. Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Private Bank, Realty and other sectoral indices ended in red, whereas media, FMCG, auto, oil and gas, and other sector stocks were trading in green.
