Son of Sardaar 2 Review: Audience Reactions
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film brings back Ajay Devgn as Jassi, in a storyline filled with mistaken identities, family feuds, and chaotic wedding shenanigans. He is joined by Mrunal Thakur and Ravi Kishan, whose performance has been widely appreciated. While the film aims to recreate the charm of the original 2012 Son of Sardaar, audience reactions have been mixed.
Some viewers described the sequel as a "no-brainer masala entertainer" packed with loud humour, action, and Punjabi flair. Ajay Devgn's charismatic presence received praise for adding emotional depth to the film's lighter moments.
Mrunal Thakur was also appreciated for her energy and screen presence. However, others were less impressed, citing a weak plot and lackluster jokes. A section of fans on social media expressed disappointment, saying the film failed to capture the fun of the first installment.
Special Appearances Buzz in Son of Sardaar 2
Adding to the buzz are special appearances in the film. Neeru Bajwa makes a cameo as a nod to Punjabi cinema, and there's strong speculation that Rohit Shetty has a surprise cameo in the climax, possibly teasing an announcement related to Golmaal 5. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt, who appeared in the original film, took to Instagram to wish Ajay Devgn luck. He revealed he could not join the sequel due to visa issues but expressed happiness that Ravi Kishan stepped into his role.
