Small Cap FMCG Stock Soars To 52-Week High After Strategic Entry Into Middle East

Shares of Cupid Ltd jumped 3.42 per cent in Wednesday's trade to touch 52 52-week high of Rs 138, as strong investor sentiment prevailed following the company's announcement that it has made a strategic investment with GII Healthcare Investment Limited. In the wake of this rally, the company's market capitalisation is now hovering around Rs 3,700 crore. It's worth mentioning that the stock has more than tripled in value (175% up) from its 52-week low of Rs 50, which it had touched on 7 April, 2025.

The deal is Cupid's first big move into the Middle East, and one of the larger steps in its global expansion strategy. GII Healthcare Investment Limited is a dedicated healthcare investment vehicle of Gulf Islamic Investment (GII), a leading investment firm with over $3.5bn of assets under management and a presence in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Europe, USA and India. GII Healthcare is also a major minority investor in one of the most successful healthcare providers in Saudi Arabia. Thus, Cupid has invested in GII to gain strategic exposure to the rapidly growing healthcare sector of the region.

Supporting its order book besides high visibility on orders, Cupid has received new export orders for female condoms amounting to Rs 13.90 crore from Brazil, South Africa and Angola. These orders are expected to be executed by Q1FY26 and are viewed as a testament to the strong global image of the brand in the high-margin category of female contraceptives. The company views female condoms to be a high-margin, high-growth area of business and anticipates this momentum to continue in this market.
