Servotech To Power Bengaluru Airport With 10 Ultra-Fast EV Chargers; Expands Airport EV Infrastructure

Servotech Renewable Power System has secured a noteworthy contract from Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) to set up a state-of-the-art electric vehicle charging facility at Kempegowda International Airport. Valued at Rs 1.62 crore, the mandate covers the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 2.4 MW ultra-fast charging hub strictly for airside vehicle operations at one of India's busiest aviation gateways.

Under the agreement, ten 240 kW DC chargers will be deployed, making it the country's first and largest airside station of its kind. The upgrade is expected to cut passenger-bus turnaround times between terminals and aircraft, improving operational speed and sharply curtailing onsite carbon emissions. As part of the package, Servotech has committed to a five-year maintenance program that will monitor components and preserve energy-efficient performance.

The project reinforces Karnataka's goal of reaching carbon-negativity and positions Servotech as a prominent partner in India's shift toward cleaner transportation.

The firm secured a major contract with Bengaluru Airport, adding to its extensive project roster and coinciding with a period of sustained financial growth. Revenue for fiscal year 2025 grew by 91 per cent to Rs 676.8 crore, up from Rs 355.3 crore in FY24, and profit after tax jumped 176.5 per cent to Rs 32.6 crore, lifting PAT margins to 4.8 per cent. The fourth quarter contributed further: revenue reached Rs 147.4 crore and PAT more than doubled to Rs 7.7 crore.

Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., stated, "We are thrilled to work with Bengaluru International Airport in its mission to drive sustainable change. This project is more than just an infrastructure milestone, it's a step toward transforming urban transport at one of India's busiest airports allowing us to electrify the airport and play a vital role in reducing its carbon emissions with our advanced EV charging technology and infrastructure. Servotech has emerged as a leader in developing public EV charging infrastructure across India with oil marketing companies and we're thrilled to take on this pilot project."

"This collaboration perfectly aligns with our long-term goals of providing high-quality EV charging infrastructure and contributing meaningfully to India's clean energy transition and we'll be looking forward to take on more such projects in the future and help improve EV charging infrastructure across different settings," Sarika Bhatia further added.
Servotech Renewable Power System Limited appears on the NSE and is known for its cutting-edge, technology-driven EV charging solutions.
