School Holidays Next Week: Schools in multiple Indian states, including West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Jarkhand, etc will remain closed due to Durga Puja and Navratri celebrations.
There were multiple school holidays throughout the month because of different festivals celebration. But for students, the flurry of holidays coincided with half-yearly examinations and crucial assignments.

School Holidays Next Week
The last week of September will witness one of India's grandest festivals as it will mark the conclusion of nine-day Navratri and Durga Puja. Devotees will celebrate Maha Saptami on September 29 and Maha Ashtami on September 30.
Schools will remain closed in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam on Monday, September 29 on the occasion of Maha Saptami. Whereas, banks will remain shut in Indian states like Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan on Tuesday, September 30 to mark the celebration of Maha Ashtami.
School Holidays will also be extended in some states to Wednesday as well to mark the Durga Puja celebrations.
Durga Puja in West Bengal is a major event in September. This festival honours Goddess Durga's victory over evil and involves elaborate rituals, music, and dance performances. Schools often adjust their schedules to accommodate these festivities, allowing students to participate fully in the cultural activities.
After Durga Puja Celebrations, schools will remain closed on Thursday, October 2 to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as well as Dussehra. As Gandhi Jayanti is a gazetted holiday, schools, as well as colleges, banks, government officies, etc will remain closed on October 2. Two days after Gandhi Jayanti, falls Sunday when all the schools remain closed.
Schools were closed on multiple occasions in the first half of the September due to festival celebrations including Onam, Id-e-Milad, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc.. These observances, from Kerala's Onam to West Bengal's Durga Puja, often lead to changes in school timetables.
