Veteran actor Satish Shah, who had won Indian hearts for many roles, died on October 25, 2025, at around 2:30 pm. He died at the age of 74. The actor faced kidney-related issues and even had a transplant recently. However, in afternoon of Saturday he was reported to be dead in the Hinduja Hospital of Mumbai. Satish Shah has given the Indian cinema beautiful memories with his commendable acting skills. But his most remembered will be his role as Indravardhan from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, a much loved family-centric comedy drama.

Satish Shah Death:

CINTAA official Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news of his death through his Instragram handler. The cause of his death is kidney failure.

He said, "Sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a great actor Satish Shah has expired few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja hospital where he breathed his last."

"A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti,'' he added.

Satish Shah Career:

Born in the early 1950s, Satish Shah was best known for his comic roles in films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984), Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), Main Hoon Na (2004), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Fanaa (2006) and Om Shanti Om (2007).

He even co-judged Comedy Circus in 2008 alongside Archana Puran Singh. Later on, he was appointed as a member of the Film and Television Institute of India society.

He was known for his roles in the 1984 sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi directed by Kundan Shah and Manjul Sinha, where he played 55 different characters in 55 episodes and the character of Prakash in the television serial Zee TV - Filmy Chakkar in 1995, who he played in 50 episodes. He also starred in the 2004 television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai as Indravadhan Sarabhai. In both Filmy Chakkar and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, his pairing was opposite Ratna Pathak Shah. In 1997, he played the lead role in Ghar Jamai for 80 episodes along with the serial All The Best with Swaroop Sampat for 109 episodes for DD2, as per Wikipedia.
