RailOne: PNR Tracking To Ticket Booking, Here is One App For Everything, How Is It Different From IRCTC App?

RailOne App Launched: From PNR, parcel and freight status check to booking IRCTC ticket, Indian train passengers can finally access all online railway services with a single mobile application. The RailOne application, launched by the Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday, is a one-stop solution for all the railway related services.

RailOne App not only provides the facility of booking IRCTC ticket online, but it also serves the purpose of already existing 'Unreserved Ticketing System' application. Which means, people can use RailOne application to purchase platform tickets, as well as train tickets for the unreserved category.

Passengers can now book the unreserved ticket through the RailOne application and the entire focus of Railway officers has now shifted to passenger safety, said Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today while highlighting the key features of RailOne application.

What is RailOne Application?

It is a mobile application launched by the Ministry of Railways to provide one-stop services related to parcel booking, IRCTC ticket booking, platform ticket booking, train status tracking, etc on their mobile.

What Are The Key Features of RailOne Application?

The RailOne application has nearly all the features of IRCTC and UTS applications. Additionally, it provides features like train status checking, etc.

Search Trains: Passengers can search trains by entering the detail of their journey details like the starting point and destination station. They are also required to select the date of their journey to check the details.

Ticket Booking

RailOne users can book train tickets, like they used to do on IRCTC application, under the 'Reserved' ticket option. They are required to select the starting and ending station of their journey, date of their journey and the category of their travel. Apart from reserved ticket booking, passengers can also book unreserverd ticket for their journey. They can also purchase platform ticket via the RailOne application.

PNR Status Check

PNR Status Checking, Ordering food online, filing refund, and giving travel feedback are some of the other key features of the application.

RailOne Application: How It Is Different From IRCTC App?

While RailOne application has all the features of IRCTC application, certain additions makes it standout against the former. The application's facility of booking unreserved tickets, platform tickets are the recent additions which are absent in IRCTC application. Passengers can also track their train's running status on the application, check their train coach position, check schedule of their train, etc.

Rail One App Launched: How To Login?

-Download and install the RailOne application from Google Playstore.
-Create a new account using your mobile number and email ID. People who already have an account on IRCTC application or on UTS, can login with the details of their existing account.
-Out of the three options, let's consider that you have an existing IRCTC account. Then enter your existing IRCTC account details.
-You will receive an OTP, enter the OTP code and proceed to login.

RailOne App Launched: How To Create Account?

-Download and install the application.
-Select the 'Create Account' option.
-Mention your details like, name, date of birth, email address, etc.
-Make sure that the number and email address you are mentioning is not registered on IRCTC or UTS application.
-Proceed after filing details. Enter OTP, create a new password.
-PRoceed to login. Keep a track of your User ID and password for future reference.
