PRYMA Aerospace Achieves DGCA Certification for Arjuna Drone to Enhance Agricultural Practices

PRYMA Aerospace has received DGCA certification for its Arjuna drone, facilitating agricultural applications. This milestone supports India's indigenous drone technology and expands services through Salam Kisan's platform.

PRYMA Aerospace, a drone manufacturer based in Jalna, has achieved a significant milestone. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has certified its Arjuna drone for agricultural use. This approval allows the company to utilise the drone for various farming activities. The certification was presented by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to PRYM Group's founder and CEO, Dhanashree Mandhani.

PRYMA Aerospace Secures DGCA Certification

Earlier this year, PRYM Group entered into a Rs 300 crore agreement with the Maharashtra government at the World Economic Forum in Davos. This partnership aims to boost drone adoption and enhance skill development in the region. "This certification is more than a regulatory milestone; it is proof that India can build and scale world-class indigenous drone technology," Mandhani stated.

Drone Technology in Agriculture

Drones are increasingly used by farmers for precise crop monitoring and pesticide application. These machines help improve crop yields while minimising chemical waste. They also offer detailed data on soil and water management, enabling farmers to make eco-friendly decisions and enhance farm management.

The DGCA recently approved PRYMA's Drone School of Excellence as a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). This makes it India's first comprehensive pathway for drone manufacturing, pilot training, and large-scale deployment through Salam Kisan's platform. "Salam Kisan has already empowered three lakh farmers with drone spraying and precision farming solutions," Mandhani added.

Scaling Up Services Nationwide

With DGCA approvals for both training and hardware, PRYMA Aerospace is poised to expand Salam Kisan's services across India. The company aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for farmers and rural entrepreneurs. This initiative will support large-scale deployment of drones, enhancing agricultural productivity nationwide.

Drone technology offers numerous benefits for agriculture. It enables precise application of pesticides and fertilisers, improving efficiency and reducing waste. Additionally, drones provide valuable insights into soil conditions and water usage, helping farmers optimise their resources effectively.

The recent DGCA certification marks a significant step forward for PRYMA Aerospace. It underscores India's capability to develop and scale indigenous drone technology. With this approval, the company is well-positioned to advance its mission of empowering farmers through innovative solutions.
