PM Kisan Instalment: As farmers are keenly awaiting for the next instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi ( PM Kisan) scheme, several media reports have suggested that PM Kisan's 20th instalment will be disbursed this week. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to disburse the PM Kisan scheme's 20th instalment during his Bihar visit, reported Livemint.

The last instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi was disbursed in February, 2025. As the scheme involves the quarterly disbursement of an assistance of Rs 2,000 every quarter, it was expected that the eligible farmers will receive their instalment in June or July.

Will Farmers Receive PM Kisan 20th Instalment This Week?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar this week. He is likely to disburse the 20th instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi on July 18 from Bihar's Motihari at an event, reported Livemint. However, there is no official notification related to exact PM Kisan Instalment date or even an estimated timeline. Goodreturns couldn't independently confirm the reported update on PM Kisan Nidhi.

PM Modi had released the 19th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on 24 February, 2025. According to the government website, nearly 10,04,67,693 farmers have been benefited from the scheme in the December-March quarter of 2024-25.

What is PM Kisan Scheme?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is PM Modi-led government's flagship scheme launched for the welfare of farmers. The scheme guarantees an annual assistance of Rs 6,000 to landholding farmers. The total PM Kisan Samman Nidhi amount will be disbursed in every four months. As the last instalment was released in February, there next PM Kisan Nidhi instalment can be released in July or in August.

PM Kisan Scheme: How To Apply?

-Go to the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, ie https://pmkisan.gov.in/RegistrationFormupdated.aspx

-Select the Registration Form option.
-Enter your Aadhaar card number, mobile number and select state.
-Enter the captcha to get OTP.
-Enter the OTP for accessing the registration form.
-Fill all the mandatory details in the registration form.
-After filling all the details and submitting the form, you will be automatically forwarded to the State Nodal Officer for verification.
-Eligible farmers can also register themselves for the scheme with the PM Kisan mobile app.

PM Kisan Instalment: How To Check Status?

-Navigate to the PM Kisan official portal at https://pmkisan.gov.in/.

-Look for the 'Beneficiary list' option, which you can find in the right-hand corner of the webpage. This action is the first step in verifying your status.

-After accessing the 'Beneficiary list' tab, you will be prompted to provide specific details to proceed. This involves selecting your state, district, sub-district, block, and village from the available drop-down menus.

-Upon filling in the necessary details, the final step involves clicking on the 'Get report' tab.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was announced by PM Narendra Modi in February 2019. The scheme was implemented in 2019 after coming into effect on December 1, 2018. The PM Modi-led government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to provide financial assistance to landholding farmers across the country.
