The 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana is expected to be released in October or November 2025, although the government has not yet made an official announcement regarding the exact date. Historically, the installments under this scheme are released approximately after every four months. The PM Kisan 20th installment was credited to farmers' accounts on August 2 this year, where over 9.7 crore farmers across the country received direct financial assistance of approximately Rs. 20,500 crore.

What is PM KISAN?
PM Kisan, officially known as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), is a government scheme launched in December 2019 by the Government of India to provide direct income support to small and marginal farmer families across the country. Under this initiative, eligible farmers receive Rs. 6,000 per year, which is paid in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 every four months directly into farmers' bank accounts through direct benefit transfer (DBT). The scheme currently covers approximately 120 million farmers nationwide. Since the launch of the scheme in 2019, more than Rs. 3.69 lakh crore has been transferred to farmers' accounts, as per PIB data.

To avoid delays in receiving the 21st instalment, farmers must ensure the following:
Completed e-KYC: Farmers should verify that their e-KYC is completed.
Aadhaar-Bank Account Linkage: Aadhaar must be correctly linked with the bank account registered for PM Kisan payments.
Updated Land Records: Farmers should ensure that their land records and verification are up to date in the PM Kisan portal.

How to Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status: Step-by-Step Guide
Farmers can easily track whether their 21st installment has been credited using the official portal.
Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan portal at https://pmkisan.gov.in/rpt_beneficiarystatus_pub.aspx.
Step 2: Select the search option and choose one of the following, like Aadhaar Number, Bank Account Number, or Mobile Number.
Step 3: Enter the required details:
- If using Aadhaar, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- If using a bank account, enter the linked account number.
- If using mobile, enter the registered mobile number.
Step 4: Fill the captcha code by entering the captcha exactly as shown on the screen.
Step 5: Click on "Get Data" after entering details, and click the button to proceed.
Step 6: The page will display beneficiary details, including:
- Farmer name and father/husband name
- State, district, and village
- Payment status and instalment details
- Aadhaar verification status
