Panattoni and Edayar Zinc Collaborate on Rs 800 Crore Logistics and Industrial Park in Kochi

Panattoni, a global leader in industrial real estate, has partnered with Kerala-based Edayar Zinc Ltd to develop a logistics and industrial park in the Edayar Industrial Area. This collaboration involves an investment of Rs 800 crore and marks Panattoni's entry into Kerala. The project will be a key part of the Kerala Logistics & Industrial City (KLIC), an initiative by Edayar Zinc Ltd to position Kochi as a hub for global industrial and logistics investments.

The agreement was formalised by Norbert Sumislawski, Managing Director of International Project Management at Panattoni, and Mohamed Bismith, Managing Director of Edayar Zinc Ltd. The signing took place in the presence of Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev and A P M Mohammed Hanish, IAS, Principal Secretary Industries, Government of Kerala. The park will be developed in two phases, with the first phase covering 20 acres and offering 5.2 lakh sq ft of infrastructure for e-commerce, FMCG, 3PL, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Project Details and Infrastructure

The facility will feature advanced infrastructure including 12-meter clear height, FM2-grade floors, a loading capacity of 5 tonnes per square metre, K160 sprinklers, and IGBC-certified sustainable design. These features aim to set new standards for the region's logistics ecosystem. Construction is set to begin in February 2026, with Phase I expected to be operational by February 2027.

Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev expressed his appreciation for Panattoni's investment interest in Kerala. "I express my gratitude to Panattoni for showing interest in investing in Kerala. The government will provide all support required within the framework, and a special officer has been designated as the nodal officer for the project," he stated.

Norbert Sumislawski highlighted that the partnership with Edayar Zinc Ltd demonstrates a shared commitment to developing world-class, sustainable logistics infrastructure. "The Kochi project exemplifies our model of combining global expertise with local entrepreneurship to unlock industrial potential and create employment opportunities that strengthen regional economies," he added.

Panattoni operates from 36 offices worldwide, including locations in Europe and India. The company is dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable real estate solutions.
