Noida to Delhi IGI Airport in Just 20 Minutes: PM Modi to Inaugurate UER-II, Dwarka Expressway Tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two key national highway projects on Sunday that are expected to significantly reduce travel time and decongest the capital. These include the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway, together worth nearly Rs 11,000 crore.
Faster Travel from Noida to IGI Airport in Just 20 Minutes
One of the biggest advantages for commuters is the reduction in travel time from Noida to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, which will now take just 20 minutes, according to reports. This is expected to drastically improve connectivity across the region and benefit thousands of daily travellers.

Key Inaugurations by PM Modi
The Prime Minister will inaugurate four out of five packages of the UER-II project, along with phases three and four of the Dwarka Expressway, around 12:30 PM on Sunday, according to ANI.
"These initiatives reflect Prime Minister Modi's vision of creating world-class infrastructure that enhances ease of living and ensures seamless mobility," the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement on Saturday.
About the Dwarka Expressway Section
The Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway spans 10.1 kilometers and has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5,360 crore. This section includes a 5.9 km stretch from the Shiv Murti intersection to the Road Under Bridge (RUB) at Dwarka Sector-21, and a 4.2 km stretch from the RUB to the Delhi-Haryana border.
It provides direct connectivity to the UER-II and will also offer multi-modal integration with important transport hubs such as Yashobhoomi, Delhi Metro's Blue and Orange lines, the upcoming Bijwasan railway station, and the Dwarka cluster bus depot.
In addition to the expressway, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of Urban Extension Road-II. This segment includes new connections to the nearby cities of Bahadurgarh and Sonipat and has been developed at a cost of approximately Rs 5,580 crore.
The UER-II is designed to significantly reduce traffic load on Delhi's existing major roads, including the Inner and Outer Ring Roads. It will also ease congestion at busy intersections like Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and National Highway 09 (NH-09). The new road links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat will also help in improving industrial connectivity and speeding up the movement of goods in and out of Delhi.
