Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation for six new industrial units in Sehore district's Badiyakhedi area. These projects, with a total investment of Rs 2,000 crore, aim to boost local employment. Yadav emphasised the state's commitment to supporting industrialists despite challenges, ensuring that local youth find jobs without migrating elsewhere.

The state government plans to offer monthly grants to industries employing local workers. Female workers will receive Rs 6,000 and male workers Rs 5,000 each month. Yadav described these industries as growth and employment centres, likening them to temples. He highlighted the government's efforts to create job opportunities within the state.
Industrial Growth and Employment Opportunities
Among the new projects is a transformer plant by CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. This facility is expected to be Asia's largest single-location transformer manufacturing unit. In Jahangirpura, an investment of Rs 888 crore will cover 18.26 hectares, creating approximately 400 jobs. BarMalt Malting India Pvt Ltd will invest Rs 400 crore in a food processing unit.
In Badiyakhedi's second phase, 10.25 hectares are allocated for another project, which is anticipated to generate over 350 jobs. Eco Concrete Creation Pvt Ltd will invest Rs 170 crore in a building materials unit on 11.15 hectares of land. These developments are part of a broader strategy to enhance Madhya Pradesh's industrial landscape.
Boosting Local Economy and Agriculture
The Chief Minister noted India's growing global stature, stating that it was once called the golden bird and now roars like a golden tiger. Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, Madhya Pradesh continues to attract industrial projects and job opportunities. A new initiative will soon procure one lakh metric tonnes of vegetables in Sehore, benefiting two lakh families.
The establishment of a power transformer unit is expected to further boost local employment. Sehore is poised to become an integral part of the Bhopal metropolitan area in the coming years. Over 400 industry representatives attended the event, underscoring the significance of these developments for the region.
Agriculture Fair Announcement
Yadav also announced a state-level agriculture fair in Sehore from October 12 to 14. The event will feature participation from industrialists, farmers, and experts nationwide. The Chief Minister reiterated their goal of making Madhya Pradesh a leader in agriculture and dairy production.
These initiatives reflect the state's commitment to fostering economic growth and providing employment opportunities for its residents. By attracting significant investments and supporting local industries, Madhya Pradesh aims to create a thriving economic environment for its citizens.
