Ladki Bahin Yojana Instalment Date Revealed! Maha Govt To Release July's Rs 1,500 Payout On Rakshabandan

Ladki Bahin Yojana Instalment Release Date: All the eligible beneficiaries of Ladki Bahin Yojana will receive their July month instalment on the day of Rakshabandhan Celebration, announced Maharashtra Minister Aditi S Tatkare recently.

Ladki Bahin Yojana's July instalment will be released on the occasion of Rakshabandhan on 9 August, Saturday. The Maharashtra government scheme's welfare amount of Rs 1,500 will be directly disbursed among eligible beneficiaries on 9 August.

"Under the guidance of Honorable Chief Minister Shri. Devendraji Fadnavis Saheb, Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Eknathji Shinde Saheb, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Ajitdada Pawar, the honorarium (₹1500) for the month of July will be distributed to all eligible beneficiaries of the Chief Minister My Beloved Sister Scheme on the eve of Raksha Bandhan,"read a social media post by Aditi S Tatkare in Marathi .

Earlier, Tatkare had said in a reply at Maharashtra Assembly that Ladki Bahin Yojana (also called Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana) instalment for June month was released earlier. Additionally, lakhs of fake beneficiaries of the scheme were eliminated from the list.

Nearly 26 lakh women beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana Scheme have been removed from the list because they failed to match the eligibility criteria of the government scheme, revealed Tatkare in a written response at Maharshtra Assembly last month.

The fake Ladki Bahin Yojana beneficiaries were identified in the verification campaign run by the Maharashtra government. Taking action against these fake accounts, the government has ceased the release of further Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment for them.

The Maharashtra Minister has also announced that the government is actively verifying the women beneficiaries registered under the scheme. Earlier, it was reported that thousands of women beneficiaries, with a government job, are receiving Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment. The government is actively carrying out verification drive and campaigns to identify these ineligible beneficiaries or those registered under the scheme with fake accounts and information.

What is Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana?

On the lines of Madhya Pradesh's Ladli Lakshmi Yojana, BJP-led Maharshtra government is running a women welfare scheme to provide monthly assistance to females of the state. Ladki Bahin Yojana, is the Mahrashtra government's flagship scheme to provide a monthly assistance of Rs 1,500 to eligible women beneficiaries. According to the government website, women who are domiciles of the state with no income, landholding are eligible for the scheme. Ladki Bahin Yojana eligibility criteria includes a number of more aspects related to the age, income, assets and properties belonging to the women.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Eligibility Criteria

The Maharashtra government introduced a welfare initiative known as the Ladki Bahin Yojana, alternatively referred to as the Ladki Bahini Yojana or Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Age limit for the scheme is between 21 years and 65 years. Applicant's family income mist not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. Additionally, applicant's family members should not be employed as regular, permanent, or contractual staff in any government department, undertaking, board, or local body. Their family should not own any four-wheeled vehicle, except a tractor. And the applying woman must have a bank account in her name. She should not have received more than Rs 1,500 from any other financial scheme by the government.
