The Kerala state department has recently finished their seasonal lottery, Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR-105, which offered a first prize of a whopping Rs 25 crore. Days after speculation and searching for who won this handsome amount, the identification has been finally revealed. Sarath S. Nair, who is a private sector employee, is the winner of Rs 25 crore. However, he will not receive the full winning amount, as they are subject to tax rates and commission deductions.
Kerala Lottery Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR-105 First Prize Winner:
The Onam bumper 2025 lottery winning ticket is TH 577825 and the agent number was T 2356.
As per reports, Sarath S. Nair, who is an employee of Beeta Traders and Agencies Private Limited at Palarivattom, based in Ernakulam, is the purchaser of winning ticket number TH 577825. He purchased his ticket from a lottery stall run by agent Latheesh at Nettoor in Ernakulam.
How did Nair reach Nettoor? He was a frequent visitor in this region due to his job which required him to visit Nippon Paints in Nettoor frequently. During one such visit, he purchased that ticket.
As per the regulations, Nair reportedly took his winning ticket to State Bank of India, Thuravoor branch on October 6, 2025. He expressed to the media about his joy and revealed that he has bought many lottery tickets but this is the first time he tried his luck in a bumper lottery. However, Nair has not decided yet on how to spend the winning amount.
He would reportedly receive between Rs 15 crore to Rs 16 crore after taxes and commissions were deducted.
The agent Latheesh said, "Many headload workers buy tickets from my shop. I hope one of them wins because they always support my business. At least someone from Nettoor should win, as I have been here for the past 30 years,'' as per a PTI report. He also revealed the news channel that there is a 10 per cent commission for agents, and he is hoping to receive around Rs 2.5 crore.
It needs to be noted this is not the first winning ticket that Latheesh sold. Three months ago, a winner of Rs 1 crore lottery was also from his stall.

As per the Kerala lottery department, a 10% of the first three prize winners of Onam bumper will be deducted and that amount will be given to agents who sold those winning tickets.
Additionally, it needs to be noted that the agency commission comes around 12% of the first prize money. Further, the income will deduct another 30% as tax rate excluding cess and surcharge. Overall, it is said that the first prize winner can take home 63 percent of the prize money, according to the data provided by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries via the Right To Information Act.
How To Claim Kerala Lottery Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR 105 Prizes?
As per Kerala Lotteries Net, The prize-winner of a lottery shall surrender the prize-winning ticket within 90 days of the draw with all necessary documents. Prizes up to Rs. 1Lakh may be claimed from the District Lottery Offices concerned. Prize-winning tickets above Rs.1 Lakh shall be surrendered before the Director of State Lotteries after affixing the signature, name, and address of the prize winner on the reverse of the tickets with the following documents.
1. A claim application along with a Photostat copy of both sides of the ticket, self-attested.
2. Two Passport size photographs of the prize-winner duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Notary.
3. A receipt for the prize money in the prescribed form affixing a revenue stamp worth Rs.1/- with the full address of the prize winner (download).
4. If the prize winner is a minor, a Guardianship certificate from a competent authority.
5. In case of joint claims, one of the prize-winners should be authorized to receive the prize money and a 'Joint Declaration in stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- should be executed.
6. Self-attested copies of the PAN Card.
