One of the much-awaited Kerala lottery is the Onam Thiruvonam bumper BR 105 in October 2025, which is offering a breathtaking Rs 25 crore as the first prize. The popular Onam bumper lottery was initially scheduled in last week of September, but was postponed to the next month due to new GST rates and heavy rain that impacted ticket sales. The new date is announced and set for later in the current week.

The new date for Kerala's Onam bumper lottery is fixed on October 4th, compared to the initial date of September 27.
In a notification, Kerala Lotteries department said, "Agents have requested that the draw date be postponed due to the GST change and the unexpected heavy rains, which have resulted in the inability to fully sell tickets."
Hence, the Lottery Directorate announced that the draw date has been extended considering the request of the sellers. Tickets will be sold until October 4.

The cost of the ticket for one Onam BR-105 lottery is Rs 300. The lottery code is BR.

The lucky draw for Thiruvonam bumper BR 105 lottery will begin at 2pm of October 4th, at the Gorky Bhavan Near Bakery Junction Thiruvananthapuram.
Furthermore, Kerala lotteries department stated that in 2025, 75 lakh bumper tickets were printed. These are sold entirely to agencies but also to agencies and distributors.
Despite the impact this year, the current Thiruvonam bumper lottery ticket sales are higher compared to total of 71.40 lakh tickets that were sold in 2024.
In 2025, among the top districts, the sales of ticket was highest in Palakkad district to 14.07 lakh. This was followed by 9.37 lakh tickets sold in Thrissur and 8.76 lakh tickets sold in Thiruvananthapuram respectively.

Onam Bumper 2025: 1st Prize
There will be only one winner for first prize, and he or she will get Rs 25 crore.
Onam Bumper 2025: 2nd Prize
The second prize is of Rs 1 crore, and will be awarded to 20 winners (one per series).
Onam Bumper 2025: 3rd Prize
The third winning amount is Rs 50 lakh, and will be given to 20 winners (two per series).
Onam Bumper 2025: Consolation Prize
A total of nine winners will be selected for consolation prize money of Rs 5 lakh.
Onam Bumper 2025: 4th Prize
Rs 5 lakh is the fourth prize, and will be given to 10 winners (last five digits).

The fifth prize is fixed Rs 2 lakh and up to 10 winners will be selected based on last four digits and 36 draws.

Up 81,000 winners (last four digits, 72 draws) will be selected for seventh prize of Rs 2,000.

Up to 1,24,200 winners (last four digits, 126 draws) will get the eighth prize of Rs 1,000.

How To Claim Kerala Lottery Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR 105 Prizes?
As per Kerala Lotteries Net, The prize-winner of a lottery shall surrender the prize-winning ticket within 90 days of the draw with all necessary documents. Prizes up to Rs. 1Lakh may be claimed from the District Lottery Offices concerned. Prize-winning tickets above Rs.1 Lakh shall be surrendered before the Director of State Lotteries after affixing the signature, name, and address of the prize winner on the reverse of the tickets with the following documents.
1. A claim application along with a Photostat copy of both sides of the ticket, self-attested.
2. Two Passport size photographs of the prize-winner duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/Notary.
3. A receipt for the prize money in the prescribed form affixing a revenue stamp worth Rs.1/- with the full address of the prize winner (download).
4. If the prize winner is a minor, a Guardianship certificate from a competent authority.
5. In case of joint claims, one of the prize-winners should be authorized to receive the prize money and a 'Joint Declaration in stamp paper worth Rs. 50/- should be executed.
6. Self-attested copies of the PAN Card.
7. Attested document to prove identity ( Attested copy of Ration Card, Driving License, Passport, Election ID Card, etc).
Kerala Lottery Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR 105 Tax Rates:
With effect from September 22, Kerala lotteries are under 40% GST slab compared to earlier 28%. Additionally, the fixed income tax rate is 30% on lottery wins under section 194B of Income Tax Act. The income tax rate further increases due to addition of health and education cess of 4%, which takes the total tax rate to 31.2%. Notably, there are also surcharges levied if the winning prize is over Rs 50 lakh.
So there is 10% surcharge imposed on winning amount between Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. The surcharge is increased to 50% on winning amount greater than Rs 1 crore. Additionally, there is 31.2% tax deducted at source (TDS) levied if the winning amount exceeds Rs 10,000. If the lottery amount is rewarded in a mixture of cash and non-cash prize, then TDS will imply on the cash gains.
There are also 10% to 12% agents commission levied on the Kerala lottery prizes.
