Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 Crosses Rs 600 Crore Box Office Collection Worldwide: Sacnilk Report
On the second Sunday alone, Kantara raked in approximately Rs 45 crore as per figures available on Sacnilk. Early estimates suggested the film could hit around Rs 520 crore in India by the end of the day. Meanwhile, on the global front, Sacnilk reports that Kantara has crossed Rs 600 crore, making it the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 after Chhaava.

Kantara: Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 11 Updates
On Day 11, which marked the second Sunday of Kantara Chapter 1's theatrical run, the film garnered an impressive Rs 39.77 crore across all languages, according to early estimates of Sacnilk.
The regional breakdown of the earnings shows Rs 12.47 crore from the Kannada version, Rs 13.47 crore from Hindi, Rs 5.62 crore from Tamil, Rs 4.8 crore from Telugu, and Rs 3.41 crore from Malayalam markets. This strong multi-language performance reflects only a 1.97% growth compared to the previous day.
Kantara 2 To Take Over Chhaava As Top Indian Grosser of The Year
This feat places Kantara among a rare group to become the 16th Indian film and the 9th South Indian film ever to break Rs 500 crore domestically as per Sacnilk estimates. The last South Indian production to achieve this was Pushpa 2 - The Rule.
If the film continues this momentum through the Diwali holidays, it stands a strong chance of overtaking Chhaava as the top Indian grosser of the year. The festive period now becomes pivotal as Kantara competes not only with blockbusters but with expectations.
From its opening on October 2, timed to coincide with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, Kantara leveraged holiday crowds and buzz, delivering an opening day collection of over Rs 60 crore across all languages. Though Day 2 saw a dip, the film steadied soon enough, surpassing Rs 220 crore in just four days and cementing its place among the year's highest earners.
During its first week, Kantara drew Rs 337.4 crore in total. In week two, it earned Rs 22.25 crore on Friday (Day 9), followed by a substantial 75% jump on Saturday (Rs 39 crore), including Rs 14.25 crore from the Hindi version. On Sunday, it clocked another Rs 39 crore, driving the week's domestic total to about Rs 437.65 crore.
Going forward, the film's performance during Dhanteras, Diwali and subsequent festival windows will be closely watched. Sustained collections could rewrite 2025's box office narrative-carving out Kantara Chapter 1 as not just a regional breakthrough but possibly the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
