Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection: Movie lovers are in for a treat as Rishab Shetty makes a comeback with its Kantara series. On October 2nd, the Kannada superstar and director released the prequel Kantara: A Legend-Chapter 1, which will showcase the mysteries and significance of the folklore universe at a much greater scale. His Kantara 2022 movie had become a super duper hit of that year across the country. So far, critics and fans have given thumbs up to the movie.

The Rishab Shetty's film has started off on a healthy note. As per Sacnilk data, so far, the movie swept Rs 29 crore in India. Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 had an overall 73.56% Kannada Occupancy on Thursday, October 02, 2025. The occupancy on morning is at 73.56%.
The movie's overall Telugu Occupancy stood at 45.32% on Thursday, October 02, 2025, while its Hindi Occupancy was at 18.36%.

As per 123 Telugu report, Kantara: Chapter 1 is inarguably one of the best films to have come out in recent years in terms of technical finesse. Hombale Films, together with Rishab Shetty, scaled up the budget, delivering a stunning visual spectacle as every frame brims with richness and is a treat to watch. Especially the VFX works featuring animals are spellbinding, and a huge applause to the team for pulling off such a fantastic technical output.
Also, Taran Adarsh, a movie critic said, "Right from its opening sequence, KantaraChapter1 transports you into a world that is raw, divine, and majestic... The narrative is layered, the emotions run deep, and the spiritual connect is strong." He added, "Rishab Shetty has once again proves he is one of the finest storytellers of our times... His grip on subject, scale, and emotion is simply extraordinary."
"The action block just before the interval, as well as the one post-interval, deserves special mention - simply outstanding... And much like the first part, the penultimate moments are electrifying and spellbinding... An experience that lingers long after the end credits roll," said Adarsh.
