On Day 6, Kantara: Chapter-1 continues its strong box office run, with early estimates suggesting a net collection of around Rs 0.7 crore across all languages as per Sacnilk, though this figure is expected to rise as the day progresses.

Following a massive five-day total of Rs 256.5 crore in India, the film has entered Tuesday with steady momentum, and final numbers will depend on footfalls through the afternoon and evening shows. Despite the natural weekday dip, Kantara remains one of the top-performing Indian films of 2025 so far.

Rishab Shetty's film opened to thunderous response last Thursday, earning Rs 61.85 crore on Day 1, with language-wise contributions of Kannada Rs 19.6 crore, Telugu Rs 13 crore, Hindi Rs 18.5 crore, Tamil Rs 5.5 crore and Malayalam Rs 5.25 crore. Despite a 26.60% drop on Friday, the film maintained strong momentum with Rs 45.4 crore as per Sacnilk data.
Saturday saw a sharp recovery with a 21.15% jump, collecting Rs 55 crore, while Sunday grew another 14.55% to Rs 63 crore, marking an exceptional extended weekend. As expected, Monday's earnings saw a 50.40% decline, a common trend after a big weekend, with the film earning Rs 31.25 crore.
With a six-day total of Rs 257.2 crore as per early trends on Tuesday, it is already one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025.
Kantara 2 Beats Chhaava, Saiyaara & Coolie
Even with Monday's drop, Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 is outperforming other major 2025 Indian releases by a significant margin. For perspective, Chhaava and Saiyaara each earned ₹24 crore on their first Monday, while Coolie managed a comparatively lower Rs 12 crore. In comparison, Kantara brought in Rs 31.25 crore, highlighting its strong hold at the box office despite entering the weekday phase.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Vs Kantara: Chapter 1 Vs Idli Kadai Box Office Collection
Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari collected just Rs 3 crore on Monday, while Dhanush's Idli Kadai earned only Rs 1.6 crore as figures shown in Sacnilk. In stark contrast, Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 raked in Rs 31.25 crore on the same day, 10 times more than Sunny Sanskari and 19 times higher than Idli Kadai.

Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 is a prequel to Rishab Shetty's 2022 cult hit Kantara and has been made on a much grander scale, with a reported budget of Rs 125 crore, a massive leap from the original's Rs 16 crore budget.
Kantara 2 story follows Berme (played by Shetty), a fierce warrior from the jungle village of Kantara, as he battles against Kulasekhara (Gulshan Devaiah), a ruthless ruler from the neighbouring kingdom of Kadamba, who attempts to take control of their sacred land.
The movie features an ensemble cast including Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah and Jayaram and ends with a teasing setup for Kantara Chapter 2, indicating the franchise's long-term storytelling ambition.
