ITC Hotels Shares Price Falls Post Massive Block Deal; 18.75 Crore Shares Change Hands in Early Trade
Shares of ITC Hotels Ltd., the newly demerged hospitality arm of ITC Ltd., were actively traded on Friday, December 5, after a massive block deal hit the markets. According to exchange data, nearly 18.75 crore shares, representing about 9% of ITC Hotels' outstanding equity, changed hands in a single large transaction.

ITC Hotels Block Deal Details
The large trade comes as British American Tobacco (BAT) which held a 22.9% stake in ITC Ltd. as of September moves to reduce its exposure to the hospitality business. ITC Ltd. currently owns 39.85% in ITC Hotels, making it the largest shareholder in the demerged entity. According to the termsheet, BAT will sell shares at a floor price of Rs 205.65 per share in the secondary market.

On Friday, ITC Hotels share price was trading at Rs 205.60, down 1.01% at the time of writing. The stock has slipped 20.88% so far in 2025, reflecting weak broader sentiment in the newly listed hospitality counter and continued selling pressure from BAT's stake reduction.
Investors will be closely watching whether the large block deal stabilises the stock or leads to further supply-driven correction in the coming sessions.
ITC Hotels Q2 FY26 Results: Profit Jumps 74% YoY
Despite the volatility in its share price, ITC Hotels' Q2 FY26 financial performance remained robust. The Company Reported a Net Profit of Rs. 132.77 crore, up 74% from Rs. 76.17 crore in Q2 FY25. the Revenue from Operations was up to 839.48 crore rising by 8% YoY. The EBITDA grew by Rs. 245.7 crore, up 15.7% YoY. while the EBITDA Margin Improved to 29.3% from 27.3%
