IRIS Home Fragrances Expands Business Portfolio: Aromatherapy Range Launched Ahead of Festive Season
At a launch event in Bengaluru recently, IRIS Home Fragrances, the premium home fragrance brand from Cycle Pure Agarbathi, announced that it has officially entered the aromatherapy market in India with its new Aromatherapy product line.
The newly launched IRIS Aromatherapy range is designed following the principles of aromachology, the science that studies how scents influence human behaviour and emotions.

The India aromatherapy market is projected to grow from approximately Rs. 18,480 crore in 2025 to over Rs. 41,400 crore by 2031 at a CAGR of 14%.
Talking to GoodReturns, Kiran Ranga, Managing Director, IRIS Home Fragrances, introduced the new business venture and said, "IRIS is growing at 20-25% year-on-year, with a 35% market share in the organised segment. We expect peak sales during Diwali to Christmas, i.e., in the second quarter, while February and March are slower months for sales."
"There are several brands dominating the essential oils market, but many provide straight oils without guidance on usage. With IRIS Aromatherapy, we have curated four oils targeting specific lifestyle needs: de-stress, breathe easy, sleep well, and muscle relax. Our goal is to make aromatherapy practical and accessible for everyday life," he further added.
IRIS Aromatherapy Range Details
The Aromatherapy collection is available in three formats, comprising eighteen products in total, including massage oils for therapeutic benefits, roll-on oils for quick stress relief and pure essential oils for use for multiple purposes. The range features seven signature fragrances, including lavender, ylang-ylang, eucalyptus, peppermint, frankincense, orange, and lemongrass, each carefully selected for its therapeutic benefits.
When asked about the sourcing and quality of IRIS products, Kiran Ranga said, "We follow global sourcing and traceability. For all our oils, we buy from the relevant countries, ensuring they are 100% natural, certified, and traceable. Transparency in labelling and dermatology testing is extremely important to us; it helps build consumer trust."
"Also, our products are natural and sustainably sourced. Organic certification is possible, but it raises costs significantly. Natural oils are 100% certified natural and safe, offering wellness benefits without chemicals. Organic is more about supply chain certification, but the end-use difference is minimal," he added.
Business Plan Ahead
"Currently, IRIS is present in 8,000 retail outlets across 40 cities, and we aim to expand to 1 lakh stores in five years, covering all regions north and south. We will launch online, in health and beauty stores, and in lifestyle stores, including pop-ups."
"Aromatherapy has been a niche in India, but post-COVID, there's growing awareness about wellness and natural ingredients. Consumers are actively searching for products that improve mood, relaxation, and overall well-being. Online search trends for keywords like "oils for de-stress" confirm the rising demand," said Kiran Ranga.
