The auction, set to be held in Abu Dhabi on 16 December 2025, will see franchises vying for 77 available squad slots across 10 teams, including 31 overseas positions, making the competition extremely fierce. Overall interest remains huge, with 1,355 cricketers registering before the 30 November 2025 deadline, although only a fraction will make it to final squads, leaving even some seasoned stars at risk of missing out.

Among the domestic and international talents, Cameron Green stands out as a potential game-changer. The Australian all-rounder had skipped the 2025 mega-auction due to a back injury but returns fully fit and at the Rs 2 crore base price, attracting attention from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
KKR have Rs 64.3 crore in their purse, while CSK has Rs 43.4 crore, both with multiple vacancies, making aggressive bids likely for Green, who can bat anywhere, bowl seam, and field proficiently.
