Firstly, customers have complained that Flipkart is cancelling their iPhone 16 orders, while some complained and expressed anger over the discount on the iPhone 16 series. When Flipkart launched Big Billion Days sale on September 23, one of the steepest and attractive discounts was on mobile phones, especially the iPhone 16 series.

Customers were already hooked at the price cuts in the iPhone 16 series, which came at a time when the demand for the iPhone 17 series at an impressive price was launched in September 2025.

So why are customers complaining about the iPhone 16 price and purchase at Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sale?

Flipkart iPhone 16 Order Cancellation:

Many customers complained that their orders are getting cancelled on the day of the delivery, creating frustration. A user named Pranay Maheshwari tweeted saying, "To everyone who placed their orders for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models via Flipkart during the Big Billion Days Sale and have been cancelled by Flipkart now - Don't let this thing go, please drag this nuisance company to the Consumer Forum without fail."

Another user said, "I waited for a month and placed an order successfully to know that the seller has cancelled the order??" adding, "My order has been intentionally cancelled by the seller..this has to reach consumer forum."

Another user said, "My brother placed an order for an iPhone in the Big Billion Day Sale. Order went through, payment confirmed, everything fine...and then guess what? Flipkart CANCELLED it automatically."

"Like every year, Flipkart has fooled us again. From the very first moment of the Big Billion Day sale, it was flashing the 'High Demand!' message while I was trying to buy the iPhone 16 Pro. And guess what? It went out of stock in less than a minute. Well done, Flipkart, for fooling the whole nation once again," said a user.

Then there is the issue of what the actual price of the iPhone 16 is. Many customers complained that Flipkart advertised the iPhone 16 at Rs 51,999 but is now selling it at a higher cost of Rs 69,999.

Flipkart iPhone 16 Discount Scam?

User named Rahul Vaishnav said, "The iPhone 16 Pro variants immediately went up 10k, right? Anybody grab the Big Billion Day deal?"

It was not just the iPhone 16, but many complained about a similar case in other brands as well. A user said, "Flipkart, I'm so angry about your false advertising. Your Big Billion Days sale is a total scam. It's shameful how you trick customers like this. Neither the iPhone 16 nor the Pixel 9 have gone down in price at all. Why lie to people with fake ads?"

"Flipkart cancelled saying 'lost in transit' & now wants me to reorder at a HIGHER price. It's YOUR liability to provide replacement at the ordered price. Clear #FlipkartScam," said another user.

It needs to be noted that some customers have received their order at the amount which Flipkart advised. However, cancellation and out-of-stock issue continues.

Secondly, at the time of writing, the iPhone 16 is advertised to be available at Rs 51,999 on Flipkart's Big Billion Days page. But when you enter the link, which takes you directly to the iPhone 16 series purchase page, the price of the iPhone 16 128 GB is priced at Rs 69,999. There is a host of other offers, such as 5% to 10% discount, along with cashbacks on various debit and credit cards.

Similarly, the price of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone Pro Max is higher during purchase compared to the advertised discounted prices.

Apart from this, Flipkart has allowed an exchange offer of up to Rs 43,850 on the standard iPhone 16.

Apple iPhone 16 128 GB is currently available at Rs 69,999, while the 256 GB variant is available at Rs 79,999. Furthermore, iPhone 16 Pro 128 GB and 256 GB are currently sold at Rs 1,07,999 and Rs 1,19,999, respectively. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the 256GB variant is available at Rs 1,34,999.
