Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted Haryana's significant contribution to India's economic growth during the inauguration of the state pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. He emphasised Haryana's role in supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a USD 5-trillion economy, noting the state's substantial input towards this goal.

A delegation led by Saini is visiting Japan to attract foreign investment and boost global industrial activities in Haryana. Despite covering only 1.34% of India's land and housing 2.09% of its population, Haryana has emerged as a key driver of the nation's economic progress, according to an official statement.
Haryana Pavilion Showcases Cultural and Technological Richness
The Haryana Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka is a blend of the state's rich culture, tradition, and technological advancements. This exhibition has become a source of pride for the Indian diaspora and a major attraction for international visitors, particularly from Japan.
Upon arrival at the pavilion, Saini and other dignitaries were greeted by artists in traditional Haryanvi attire playing folk instruments. The pavilion offers an immersive experience through VR technology, allowing Japanese visitors to explore Haryana's historical and archaeological sites virtually.
Traditional Arts and Hospitality Impress Visitors
The display includes traditional costumes, handicrafts, folk dances, clay artworks, and music, leaving a lasting impression on Japanese audiences. Visitors also experience Haryana's ethos of Atithi Devo Bhava, which reflects the warmth and hospitality inherent in Indian culture.
Japanese attendees have expressed that Haryana's cultural warmth embodies the true essence of India. The pavilion not only highlights rural culture and historical heritage but also showcases industrial progress and modern development.
The World Expo provides a platform for Haryana to demonstrate its unique blend of tradition and modernity. This initiative aims to strengthen ties with Japan while promoting Haryana as a hub for investment and industrial growth.
