Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated on the fourteenth day of Bhadrapada, Shukla Paksha. Anant Chaturdashi is also known as Anant Chaudas, and marks the conclusion of ten day long Ganesh Chaturthi festival. On this day, devotees perform Ganesh Visarjan by immersing Lord Ganesha idols in water and bidding them farewell.

The day is also associated with Lord Vishnu, Mother Yamuna and Sheshnag. On this day, devotees worship the three and Anant Sutra is tied on hands.
