Godrej Enterprises Group Partners with ITIs in Maharashtra to Enhance Skills and Modernise Curriculum
Godrej Enterprises Group has announced a partnership with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to upgrade the infrastructure and curriculum of these institutions. The initiative seeks to bridge the skill gap in India's manufacturing and engineering sectors by integrating real-world industry knowledge and practical experience.

Modernisation and Skill Development
The partnership will introduce Internet of Things (IoT) orientation in select cities, including Mumbai, Raigad, and Satara. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) under a public-private partnership (PPP) model has been signed with ITI Karjat and other ITIs. This agreement aims to modernise infrastructure and update curricula to reflect industry needs.
Ashwini Deodeshmukh, Godrej Enterprises Group Head - CSR and Sustainability Reporting, stated, "Our collaboration with ITIs is rooted in the vision of making India's youth future-ready, especially in regions that need support the most. By providing access to modern infrastructure and industry-relevant skills, we're enabling them to thrive in a dynamic world of work."
Technological Advancements
The modernisation efforts will include setting up CNC simulation labs and introducing modules on emerging technologies like robotics, automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0. These advancements aim to equip students with skills that are in high demand across various industries.
More than 1,500 students are expected to benefit directly from this programme. They will gain access to skills that align with both current and future industry requirements. This initiative is part of a broader effort to prepare India's youth for a rapidly evolving job market.
