CUET 2025 Exam Timeline and Format

This year, the CUET UG 2025 was conducted between 13 May and 4 June, exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Notably, NTA implemented significant changes to the exam pattern compared to previous years. These revisions included adjustments in exam duration, mode of examination, and the number of subject choices offered to students.

The exam structure consisted of three distinct sections, all composed of objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):

  • Section I: Featured 13 language options
  • Section II: Covered 23 domain-specific subjects
  • Section III: Focused on a General Aptitude Test

Each question carried five marks, with a penalty of one mark for every incorrect response, reinforcing accuracy as a key element in scoring.

After the announcement of the result, the NTA will transmit the performance data to all participating universities, including Central Universities (CUs) and other affiliated institutions across India. Candidates are advised to remain in regular contact with the specific universities they have applied to, as each institution will independently issue admission notices and schedules based on the CUET UG 2025 results.
