Coolie Becomes India's Biggest Grosser In 2025
The action drama starring superstar Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, and other high-profile actors has secured a top spot among the biggest Indian grossers at the overseas box office collection. The movie has already grossed around 150 crores in just five days, surpassing Yash Raj Film's romantic drama like Saiyaara, Chaava, Housefull 5, etc.

Coolie movie has earned an estimated Rs 229.75 crore (India net) at the box office till Thursday, August 21, so far. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed action thriller saw a decline in its box office collection (estimated India net) to Rs 6.25 crore on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the movie earned an estimated Rs 7.5 crore which included Rs 4.7 crore in the Tamil version, Rs 1.3 crore in Hindi, Rs 1.4 crore in Telugu and Rs 10 lakh in Kannada.

Coolie's worldwide box office collection stood at Rs 306 crore till Thursday, according to Sacnilk. The movie's India (net) collection stood at Rs 203.46 crore, according to Sacnilk. Coolie's India (gross) collection stood at Rs 264.75 crore.
The film has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director behind projects such as Karthi's "Kaithi", Vijay's "Master" and "Leo", and Kamal Haasan's "Vikram". It released in worldwide theatres on August 14, alongside Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's "War 2".According to the trade tracking website Sacnilk, the film opened with Rs 65 crore nett at the domestic box office.
The makers shared the box office numbers on the X handle on Friday. The poster of the film had "Highest ever day 1 worldwide gross for a Tamil film 151 crore +. Superstar Rajinikanth, the record maker and the record breaker," written over it.
