Coolie Box Office Collection Day 7: Rajinikanth’s Film Becomes Third Biggest Hit of 2025; Tamil Version Leads
Superstar Rajinikanth's latest action entertainer Coolie continues its impressive run at the Indian box office. The film has collected an estimated Rs 218.18 crore net across all languages within its first seven days of release as per Sacnilk data. Despite expected mid-week drops, the film has held strong, with Day 7 (Wednesday) bringing in approximately Rs 2.18 crore, according to early estimates.

According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Coolie had a phenomenal opening on Thursday, earning Rs 65 crore on its first day. This included Rs 44.5 crore from the Tamil version, Rs 15.5 crore from Telugu, Rs 4.5 crore from Hindi, and Rs 0.5 crore from the Kannada version.

However, Friday saw a drop of 15.77%, with collections falling to Rs 54.75 crore. The downward trend continued over the weekend, with Saturday bringing in Rs 39.5 crore (a 27.85% drop from Friday) and Sunday collecting Rs 35.25 crore (down 10.76%).
Monday marked a significant dip, with the film earning only Rs 12 crore, representing a steep 65.96% drop from the previous day. Tuesday brought in Rs 9.5 crore, another 20.83% decrease. Despite these declines, the film maintained a strong overall performance, reaching over Rs 218 crore in one week.
Coolie Tamil Version Box Office Collection: The Tamil version of Coolie recorded an overall occupancy of 17.43% on Wednesday. Morning shows had 15.50% occupancy, and afternoon shows saw a slight increase to 19.35%. Evening and night show data was not available at the time of reporting.
City-wise, Chennai led with 28% occupancy for Tamil shows. Coimbatore followed with 17%, Madurai with 15%, while Bengaluru lagged behind at 11%.
Coolie Hindi Version Box Office Collection: The Hindi version of the film had an overall occupancy of 8.87%. Morning shows drew 5.60% and afternoon shows reached 12.13%. Mumbai and NCR were the top-performing regions in Hindi occupancy, recording 10% and 9% respectively.
Coolie Telugu Version Box Office Collection: Meanwhile, the Telugu version showed a total occupancy of 14.77%, with 13.81% in morning shows and 15.72% in afternoon shows. Hyderabad posted a decent 13%, but Karimnagar stood out with a striking 34.50% occupancy.
Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna Akkineni in lead roles. With high-octane action and mass appeal, it has resonated well with audiences in the South, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
