Coolie Box Office Collection Day 13: Rajinikanth's Film in Tamil Version Leads with Around 150 Cr
Rajinikanth's action-packed film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, has continued its run at the Indian box office with both highs and lows over its 13-day journey. Despite a powerful opening and strong weekend performances, the film is now witnessing a significant dip in weekday earnings. Still, Coolie has managed to amass an impressive Rs 260.15 crore net (as per conservative estimates) in India as of Day 13 morning show.
Coolie Box Office Collection Day 13
The film opened to massive fanfare, collecting Rs 65 crore on its first day, primarily driven by strong turnout in Tamil Nadu. This momentum carried into the weekend, with Rs 54.75 crore on Day 2, Rs 39.5 crore on Day 3 and Rs 35.25 crore on Day 4.

By the end of the opening weekend, Coolie had already emerged as one of the top-grossing films of the year. However, collections started tapering off once the weekdays began. The film recorded Rs 12 crore on Day 5, Rs 9.5 crore on Day 6 and Rs 7.5 crore on Day 7, ending its first week with a healthy total of Rs 229.65 crore.
Coolie Tamil Version Dominated Earnings
Language-wise, the Tamil version dominated earnings in the first week, contributing Rs 149.95 crore. The Telugu version, bolstered by Nagarjuna's presence, brought in Rs 51.6 crore. The Hindi dubbed version earned Rs 26.05 crore, while the Kannada version added Rs 2.05 crore to the total.
In the second week, the film's performance began to falter. Day 8 and Day 9 saw collections of Rs 6.15 crore and Rs 5.85 crore respectively. The weekend revived hopes briefly, with Rs 10.5 crore on Day 10 and Rs 11.35 crore on Day 11.
However, as the new week began, the earnings plummeted once again. On Monday (Day 12), Coolie collected Rs 2.52 crore, and Tuesday (Day 13) brought in its lowest yet-estimates range from Rs 0.28 crore to Rs 0.55 crore, although some portals reported up to Rs 3.66 crore.
Occupancy trends support this dip. The Tamil version saw only 12.39% occupancy during morning shows on Day 13, while Telugu had 13.69% and Hindi lagged behind at just 6.86%. These numbers point to audience fatigue, especially in non-Southern regions.
Despite these setbacks, industry analysts believe Coolie still has a shot at crossing the Rs 300 crore mark, especially if the upcoming weekend provides a boost. The film has been particularly well-received in South India, where Rajinikanth's fanbase remains incredibly strong. Its multi-starrer appeal, which includes big names like Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir, also helped widen its reach across regional audiences.
