Coldest December in Karnataka: IMD Issues Warning as Cold Wave Grips Cities; Bengaluru Weather Today, Dec, 17

Karnataka weather today is experiencing a sharp dip in temperatures as winter tightens its grip across the state. Several districts have reported a sharp fall in minimum temperatures, after which the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a cold wave alert for parts of north and south interior Karnataka. Bengaluru weather today, December 17, is also expected to remain chilly, especially during early morning and night hours.

According to IMD data, the sudden cooling trend is because of clear skies, dry winds, and reduced cloud cover, which allow temperatures to drop rapidly after sunset. Many districts recorded minimum temperatures between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius, making it one of the coldest Decembers.

However, cold mornings are still expected in interior districts due to ongoing winter conditions. No major rainfall activity has been predicted, and dry weather is likely to continue across the state for the next few days.
