Charlie Kirk, a major MAGA and Donald Trump influencer, was shot dead during his visit to a Utah public university. The world is in shock, and the US President has ordered to lower the American flag to half till Sunday evening in honor of Kirk. The 31-year-old conservative speaker was a college dropout turned millionaire and the co-founder of popular Turning Point USA (TPUSA).
Charlie Kirk Death:
On September 10th, during his TPUSA event on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU), he was shot fatally. The video where he was shot has gone viral, where he is seen speaking on gun violence, and in a matter of seconds a bullet from a long-range hit his neck. Kirk was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but was declared dead later on.
According to an NBC report, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University said in a statement that Kirk was shot from the university's Losee Centre, roughly 200 feet away from where he was sitting.
The investigation is ongoing, and the culprit is yet to be taken into custody. In the meantime, the world mourns his death. Both the Republican and Democratic parties have condemned the violence and expressed condolences to Kirk's family.
How Donald Trump and Others Reacted:
Through his Truth Social, Trump said, "In honour of Charlie Kirk, a truly Great American Patriot, I am ordering all American Flags throughout the United States lowered to half-mast until Sunday at 6 P.M."

"The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!," Trump said.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump Junior tweeted, saying, "Charlie dedicated his life to something bigger than himself. He fought tirelessly for this country, for the values that make America great, and for the next generation. The impact he had on young people - reaching them in masses, giving them courage to stand up, to think for themselves, and to fight for freedom - is immeasurable. There is no question that Charlie's work and his voice helped my father win the presidency. He changed the direction of this nation."
"We will always celebrate his life, strive to make him proud, and pray that God watches over Erika and their precious kids," Eric Trump added.
Also, Vice President JD Vance said, "When I became the VP nominee--something Charlie advocated for both in public and private--Charlie was there for me. I was so glad to be part of the president's team, but candidly surprised by the effect it had on our family."
The Daily Wire Co-Founder, Ben Shapiro said, "And we must pick up the baton where Charlie left it, fighting for the things he believed in so passionately. And we must fight for a better America - an America where good people can speak truth and debate passionately without fear of a bullet. I weep for Charlie's family, and I weep for my country today. Most of all, I weep for Charlie."
Among the oppositions, former US President Joe Biden condemned the violence. He added, " It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk's family and loved ones."
The former US Presidential candidate from Democratic Party, Kamala Harris said, "I am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family." She added, "Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence."
Who Was Charlie Kirk?
Born on October 4, 1993, Kirk rose to fame as an American right-wing political activist, author, and media personality. He co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012, and was the chief executive officer (CEO) of Turning Point Action (TPAction) and a member of the Council for National Policy (CNP).
Kirk was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs of Arlington Heights and Prospect Heights, Illinois. In high school, Kirk actively engaged in politics, supporting Republican candidate Mark Kirk (no relation) and his U.S. Senate campaign, as well as campaigning against a price increase in his school's cafeteria.
