CBSE Board Exam Date Sheet 2026 Released: Check Class 10, 12 Timetable, Subject-Wise Schedule, and Key Details
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the CBSE Board Exams Date Sheet 2026 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. According to the notification, CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2026 will be conducted from February 17 to March 18, 2026, while the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2026 will take place from February 17 to April 4, 2026.
All papers will be held in a single morning shift starting at 10:30 am, with varying end times depending on the subject. The Board has clarified that this is a tentative schedule, and the CBSE timetable 2026 may undergo revisions if necessary.

This year, the CBSE has published the date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 exams nearly five months (146 days) before the first exam, giving students ample preparation time. However, concerns have been raised over tight gaps between major papers, which could add pressure on students.
CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2026
The CBSE Class 10 exam schedule for 2026 will begin with Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic on February 17, 2026, and conclude with Economics on March 18, 2026. Major papers include English (February 21), Science (February 25), Social Science (March 7), and Hindi Courses A & B (March 2).
Students will also appear for a wide range of language papers, vocational subjects, and new-age courses such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Design Thinking & Innovation.
CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2026
The CBSE Class 12 exam timetable 2026 begins on February 17, 2026, with papers in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship, and ends on April 4, 2026, with Sociology. Key exam dates include:
Physics: February 20, 2026
Business Studies: February 21, 2026
Chemistry: February 28, 2026
English Core & Elective: March 12, 2026
Mathematics & Applied Mathematics: March 9, 2026
Economics: March 18, 2026
Biology: March 27, 2026

As per data, in 2026, around 45 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the CBSE Board Examinations across 204 subjects in both Class 10 and Class 12. The exams will be held not only in India but also in 26 countries abroad where CBSE-affiliated schools are located, making it one of the largest public examinations globally. CBSE has also announced tentative timelines for the evaluation process. Answer sheet checking will begin 10 days after the conduct of each exam and will be completed within 12 days. For example, the evaluation for the Class 12 Physics paper on February 20, 2026, is expected to start on March 3, 2026, and finish by March 15, 2026.
