The Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2025 has opened up a major opportunity for fresh graduates looking to start their careers in the Indian banking sector. The bank has invited online applications for 3500 Graduate Apprentice posts under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, for the financial year 2025-26.

The online application process began on 23rd September 2025 and will continue till 12th October 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official websites or the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
The apprenticeship programme will provide hands-on training and exposure to banking operations in various Canara Bank branches across India.
Eligibility Criteria for the Apprentice Recruitment
To apply for the Canara Bank Apprentice 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised Indian university.
Age Limit: 20 to 28 years as of 1st September 2025.
Age relaxations for SC/ST are 5 years; for OBC, it's 3 years; for PwD, it's 10 years; and there are additional relaxations for widows/divorced women.
Candidates must know the local language of the state they are applying for. They need to clear a language test or provide certification showing that they studied the local language in Class 10 or 12.
Selected candidates will undergo a medical fitness as per Canara Bank norms.
Selection Process
Unlike most banking jobs, the Canara Bank Apprentice selection process does not involve any written exam or interview. A state-wise merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the 12th (HSC/10+2) or Diploma examination.
The minimum qualifying mark is 60% for general candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification and a local language proficiency test.
Training Period and Salary of a Canara Bank Apprentice
Selected candidates will be appointed as apprentices for one year under the Apprenticeship Act. The training duration is 1 year full-time, on-the-job training.
The monthly stipend for the apprentice is fixed at Rs. 15,000, in which Rs. 10,500 will be paid by Canara Bank and Rs. 4,500 paid by the government via DBT.
However it should be noted that No HRA, travel, or medical benefits are applicable in this job role.
