Bengaluru to Shivamogga Vande Bharat Express Soon: Check Timings, Route, Fare & Booking Details
Karnataka residents are rejoicing at the upcoming launch of the Bengaluru to Shivamogga Vande Bharat Express. This new semi-high-speed train service will soon hit the track and connect major cities and reduce the time of travel. There are already 11 Vande Bharat express running in the Karnataka route as the miniatures of railway is focused on expanding the rail network.
Bengaluru to Shivamogga Vande Bharat Express Launch Update
The announcement came from Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan, who recently posted on X stating, "Shivamogga Bengaluru Vande Bharat soon." While the official launch date, train schedule, and ticket booking window are yet to be confirmed, preparations are underway, and the train is expected to roll out shortly.
The new Vande Bharat train from Bengaluru to Shivamogga is expected to drastically improve travel times and comfort for students, business travellers, professionals, and tourists. Covering a distance of approximately 300 km, the train will offer faster, smoother, and air-conditioned rail connectivity between the tech hub and central Karnataka.

The new Vande Bharat Express route from Bengaluru to Shivamoga will provide residents with high-speed train travel This vande bharat train will likely pass through major stations such as Tumakuru, Arsikere, Kadur, and Bhadravati, although exact halts have not been officially listed.
Once the operational begins Bengaluru will have direct Vande Bharat connectivity to seven major cities:
- Dharwad
- Chennai
- Hyderabad
- Coimbatore
- Belagav
- Mysuru
- Ernakulam
Vande bharat Ticket Price, Booking, and Timings
The Bengaluru-Shivamogga Vande Bharat Express ticket price has not been announced yet but the fares are expected to be similar to other Vande Bharat routes in India which generally range from Rs. 1000- Rs. 1500 depending on the class Chair Car or Executive Chair Car. Once IRCTC opens bookings, passengers will be able to reserve seats via the IRCTC website or app.
The train is expected to operate six days a week, with travel time estimated to be under 5 hours, which is super fast as compared to current express services on the same route.
