Bengaluru residents must take note, as several areas will face a scheduled power outage today, i.e., November 26, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) will carry out major power maintenance, infrastructure upgradation, and electricity network strengthening in the southern part of the city. The Bengaluru power cut is part of ongoing efforts to modernise the Subramanyapura 110/66/11 kV power station in order to improve load handling and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply across Bengaluru South.

Why Bengaluru Will Face a BESCOM Power Cut on November 26
BESCOM stated that the planned Bengaluru power shutdown is necessary to complete some major technical works at the Subramanyapura Power Station, which includes upgrading transformers and transmission lines and replacing outdated power equipment.
Strengthening the 220/66/11 kV electricity network and enhancing the 100 MW capacity line
According to BESCOM, the scheduled Bengaluru power cut is very important for improving electricity distribution and preventing breakdowns in power supply.
