The citizens of Bengaluru and other region of Karnataka will continue to face power supply disruption as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) declared at least 8-hour-long power outages due to maintenance work.
Bengaluru Power Cut:
BESCOM has declared its plan for second quarterly maintenance of three transformers at 66/11 kV Adugodi Substation. The work will begin from 10 am to 5 pm, and hence, many areas in Bengaluru could see 8-hours long power outages. Apart from this, Bescom will also overhaul 11 kV breakers and service its On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC) of Transformers 2 and 3.

Areas that could be impacted due to Bescom's latest work on September 16 are:
- 5th Block Industrial Area
- Koramangala (Blocks 3 to 7)

- Adugodi (7th & 8th Blocks, Adugodi Main Road)

- KHB Colony (3rd to 6th Blocks)

KPTCL Power Cut:
Additionally, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) declared maintenance work from September 15 to September 29, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Residents of Hebbal will likely struggle with power cut during these days.

As per Bescom, residentials should charge their essential electronic devices in advance. Further, they should store water and avoid scheduling important work during outage hours.
Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited is mainly vested with the functions of Transmission of power in the entire State of Karnataka and also Construction of Stations & Transmission Lines and maintenance of 400/220/110/66 KV Sub-Stations. Many new lines and Sub-Stations were added & existing stations were modified in the Transmission network. It operates under a license issued by Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission.
