Bengaluru Power Cut On Tuesday & Wednesday: BESCOM Declares 7-Hours Power Outage From Nov 25-26

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) is going to undertake link line work on its sub-division, Kyathasandra from November 25 to November 26. Due to this, residents in the surrounding areas could face with seven-hours-long electricity shortage or outage. BESCOM has asked residents to cooperate.

The power supplier also said their team has undertaken link line work in the Kyathasandra sub-division. Hence, there could be power disruption from 10 am to 5 pm on November 25 and November 26.

Areas Affected On November 25 & November 26:

Majority of areas surrounding Gandhamachanahalli will face power outage. These include villages such as Hullenahalli, Kalingayyanapalya, Holakallu, Singipalya, Badesaba-Rapalya, Virupasandra and Veeranaya-Kanahalli.

Residents are advised to stay updated on BESCOM notifications and follow safety precautions during the power cut period.

Here are some of the tips to practice during planned power outages:

- Keep your inverters, emergency lights, phones, and power banks charged to the full before the outage.

- Since the power outage will be from 10 am to 6 pm, schedule your daily chores accordingly. Notably, for usage of any appliance like water pumps, washing machines, microwaves, or a mixer, it is better to be done before power cut.

- Keep a storage of sufficient water both for drinking and other purposes.

- Prepare your meals prior to the outage.
