As per the media report, the first Avatar film was created with a budget of around $230 million and managed to earn nearly 12.3 times of its budget. Whereas, Avatar 2, The Way of Water, surpassed its prequel in all aspects whether it is the movie budget or its box office collection.

Avatar 2 movie was made with a budget of $460 million, which made it the most expensive movie at that time. As the second part of the Avatar series was launched with huge fanfare and pomp and show, it received immense applause and praise from the public as well as the critic. The movie collected around $2.32 billion after it was released in 2022.
