Astrotalk Store Drives Growth In India's Spiritual Ecommerce Platform; From Rs 30 Lakh To Rs 140 Crore
Astrotalk Store grows from a digital consultation offer to a full ecommerce product line, achieving an annualised run rate above ₹200 crore and targeting ₹400–500 crore by FY27. The strategy emphasises credibility, inventory expansion, and regional growth to diversify revenue alongside the core platform.
Astrotalk is scaling its ecommerce ambitions through Astrotalk Store, which moves beyond digital consultations into spiritual commerce. Launched in November 2024, the vertical generated more than Rs 140 crore in revenue during 2025. The business now operates at an annualised run rate above Rs 200 crore, signalling strong traction within a short period.

Alongside the store’s rise, Astrotalk’s broader operations are also growing. In FY25, revenue from operations crossed Rs 1,176 crore, supported by higher user engagement and better monetisation on the platform. The company expects Astrotalk Store to help build a more diversified, high-margin revenue mix over the coming years.
Astrotalk Store growth and Astrotalk investment journey
Astrotalk Store started as an internal experiment with an initial capital outlay of Rs 30 lakh. The aim was to check if a trust-led ecommerce model around spiritual products could scale online. After strong repeat purchases and healthy order values, Astrotalk committed an additional Rs 40 crore to grow the vertical.
The follow-on funding went into increasing inventory, improving the supply chain, enhancing technology, marketing, and widening categories. During 2025, Astrotalk Store processed more than 1.6 million customer orders. These volumes suggest early product–market fit and support the company’s confidence in long-term ecommerce potential.

Astrotalk Store market demand and Astrotalk product focus

Astrotalk noticed over time that many users wanted astrologer-recommended physical products, not just advice. Astrotalk Store allows these items to be supplied in a standardised, fully online manner, tied closely to consultation journeys. The platform now lists over 300 SKUs, including rudrakshas, gemstones, bracelets, idols, and ritual essentials.
Astrotalk Store also has a pipeline of more than 500 additional products planned by FY27. New lines will mainly target daily use and repeat-purchase categories rather than one-off buys. The company has set an annual recurring revenue goal of ₹400–500 crore for the ecommerce arm in FY27, reflecting these expansion plans.
Puneet Gupta, Founder, Astrotalk, said, "The spiritual and astrology-led products market in India has always been large, but extremely fragmented. Consumers were either buying from local vendors with no standardisation or from small online sellers where authenticity was questionable. We saw a clear opportunity to organise this market by combining astrologer-led guidance, genuine sourcing, and a trusted brand. Astrotalk Store was built to bring credibility, scale, and transparency to a category that badly needed it"
Astrotalk Store leadership vision and Astrotalk future growth
Sharing the growth strategy for Astrotalk Store, Chief Business Officer, Daman Soni, highlighted retention and expansion plans. Daman Soni said, "We are approaching this with a multi-year lens, targeting not just short-term revenue but meaningful scale and sustainability. There is a visible product-market fit since we currently operate with a 24% repeat rate. We will continue to lift average order value by expanding into multiple categories, and grow active buyers by FY30. Approximately 50% of our future sales are expected from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, reflecting strong adoption beyond metro markets."
Astrotalk positions its consultation platform as the core traffic engine for Astrotalk Store, while the store strengthens monetisation through products. Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Astrotalk connects users with expert astrologers via chat and voice. The platform now hosts 20,000 astrologers and serves customers in India and markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, with Astrotalk Store emerging as a key growth driver.
