Apple has officially announced its next major product event, set to take place on September 9, 2025, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The tech giant is expected to unveil a range of highly anticipated devices, including the iPhone 17 series, new Apple Watch models, and possibly updated AirPods Pro.
Apple Awe Dropping Event on September 9, 2025:
The event, teased by Apple CEO Tim Cook with the tagline "Awe dropping", promises to showcase the company's latest innovations across hardware, design, and artificial intelligence.

Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 Incoming
In addition to the iPhones, Apple is preparing to roll out new Apple Watch models, including:
- Apple Watch Series 11
- Apple Watch Ultra 3
- Apple Watch SE 3
The Ultra 3 is likely to steal the spotlight among wearables. Sources suggest it will come equipped with a larger display, improved durability, and faster charging support, reinforcing Apple's focus on fitness, endurance, and outdoor usage.
The Series 11 is expected to refine key health and wellness features, potentially offering better heart rate tracking, upgraded sensors, and longer battery life. Meanwhile, the SE 3 will aim to deliver a more budget-friendly smartwatch experience with essential features carried over from the flagship models.
New Apple AirPods Pro 3 Also Rumoured
Another device that might make its debut during the event is the AirPods Pro 3. It's been three years since the second-generation AirPods Pro were launched, and expectations are high. While details remain limited, potential upgrades may include adaptive audio, improved active noise cancellation, and longer battery life - along with enhanced integration with iOS and macOS features.
iPhone 17 Lineup: Slimmer Design, Larger Displays, and a New 'Air' Model?
At the centre of attention will be the iPhone 17 series, expected to feature a standard model and at least two Pro variants. According to recent leaks and insider reports, Apple may also debut a brand-new model named iPhone 17 Air - a dramatically thinner and sleeker device aimed at redefining smartphone portability.
The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to feature a 5.5 mm thickness, which would make it 0.08 inches thinner than the current thinnest iPhone models. It could also sport a 6.6-inch display, positioning it as both lightweight and immersive - perfect for users who value aesthetics without compromising screen real estate.
Meanwhile, the base iPhone 17 is expected to come with a larger 6.3-inch screen, offering users a better viewing experience. Apple is also reportedly bumping up the refresh rate to 120Hz - a major improvement from the 60Hz seen in prior base models - ensuring smoother scrolling and enhanced gaming and video playback.
Apple's AI Push and the "Liquid Glass" UI Overhaul
Back in June 2025, Apple made headlines by announcing a wave of AI-powered features across its ecosystem, including AI-assisted typing, automated photo editing, and real-time language translation. These innovations were launched alongside a redesigned operating system featuring a futuristic UI theme dubbed "liquid glass," with smoother animations, rounded icons, and enhanced user customization.
However, Apple has faced criticism for being relatively late to the AI race, with competitors like Samsung, Huawei, and Honor already introducing robust AI integrations in their devices. Despite the delay, Apple's AI strategy is expected to take centre stage during the September 9 event, possibly with on-device AI powered by its custom silicon chips.
