The much-awaited iPhone 7 series is expected to be launched on September 9, since the time Apple Inc. dropped the 'Awe Dropping' teaser. The mega event of iPhone will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. Four new models is likely to be part of the iPhone 17 series and these are iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The live stream of the event is expected to be prerecorded.

As per a Reuters report, Apple is going to host the live stream of 'Awe Dropping' event on September 9, on its official website and Youtube channel. The live broadcast will also be available on the Apple TV app for iOS subscribers.
This event is accessible on all devices and is not limited to just iPhones. Meaning, you can watch the live stream on Android phones, Smart TVs, Youtube app and computers.

As per latest prediction, GSM Arena cited a JP Morgan report stated that if the research note in question is accurate, then the iPhone 17 Pro will indeed get $100 more expensive than its predecessor, but it will get 256GB base storage too, double the amount of the iPhone 16 Pro which starts at 128GB - so in an Apples to Apples comparison, it's actually the same price as the 256GB iPhone 16 Pro.
As per the report, the standard iPhone 17 is likely to be priced at $799 just like its predecessor, meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air could either be the same $899 price like the iPhone 16 Plus, or higher by $50 to $949. Notably, the GSM report is not expecting any hike in the iPhone 17 Pro Max and will still start at $1,199 with 256GB of storage.
In India, iPhone 17 is expected to hit Indian market from starting Rs 89,990, while iPhone 17 AIR is likely to be at Rs 99,990. Apple iPhone 17 + iPhone 17 Air + iPhone 17 Pro + iPhone 17 Pro Max Upgrade:
A survey conducted by SellCell revealed that 68.3% users believe that Apple could plan to upgrade in iPhone 17 series. Nearly seven in ten iPhone owners (68.3 percent) say they will upgrade to iPhone 17, up from 61.9 percent for iPhone 16. The Pro/Pro Max remain the most popular choice, accounting for 38.1 percent of intended upgrades, while the new ultra-thin Air appeals to 13.5 percent.
72.9 percent of users say they are more satisfied with their iPhone than in previous years. BUT at the same time, 27.1 percent feel Apple has "lost its edge" compared to rivals. This is over a quarter of existing iPhone users and remains a big threat to Apple, as per the survey.
Also, the survey pointed out that price remains the biggest barrier on upgrades (68.9 percent), followed closely by users being satisfied with current devices (71.7 percent). Additionally, 3.3 percent are holding out for a foldable iPhone, while 20.1 percent say they would consider Samsung and 10.2 percent Google if Apple waits until 2026 to launch a foldable phone.
Moreover, the survey added battery life is the top driver for upgrades (53.2 percent), way ahead of AI features at only 7.1 percent as an upgrade reason. Also, eSIM adoption is now mainstream, with 72.5 percent saying they like it - though more than a quarter still prefer a physical SIM.
