Over 150,000 Jobs in Amazon India
The company has made significant strides in inclusivity by offering opportunities to thousands of women and over 2,000 persons with disabilities (PWDs). Most of these new associates have already been onboarded in preparation for the festive rush. Amazon's nationwide fulfilment and delivery network is robust, with centres in 15 states providing over 43 million cubic feet of storage space.

Amazon's delivery network includes nearly 2,000 Amazon-operated and partner delivery stations. Additionally, there are 28,000 'I Have Space' partners and numerous Amazon Flex partners who ensure packages reach customers across the country. The new hires will join Amazon's existing workforce to efficiently manage increased demand during the festive season by picking, packing, shipping, and delivering orders safely.
Job Opportunities in Amazon in Tier-2 and Tier-3 Cities
Over recent months, Amazon has invested $233 million (Rs 2000 crore) into its Indian operations network. This investment includes launching five new fulfilment centres and 30 new delivery stations in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Abhinav Singh, Vice President, Operations for India & Australia at Amazon, stated that many seasonal workers continue their journey with Amazon beyond the festive period.
Amazon is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of its associates through various initiatives. Earlier this year, they expanded Ashray rest centres and introduced free health check-ups for over 80,000 delivery associates in major cities. These services include eye exams, dental care, BMI assessments, and physician consultations at last-mile delivery stations.
"Throughout our operations, we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all associates-whether they're working in our buildings or delivering packages to customers," says Abhinav Singh. "We remain dedicated to fostering a safe, equitable, and empowering work environment that includes social security benefits and supports the financial wellbeing of all our team."
