Akhanda 2: Thaandavam: The fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna are thrilled as his upcoming Telugu action movie Akhanda 2 finally gets the green signal for release. Akhanda 2 is scheduled to hit Indian theaters on December 12, and its advance ticket sales have already touched the roof on booking websites. This is a clear indication that Akhanda 2 is likely to see strong box office collection in the first week. However, it will be observed whether Balakrishna's box office takes the heat of the release of the upcoming Avatar: Fire & Ash, which is scheduled next week on December 19.

Akhanda 2 has gained immense popularity in the US market. According to data from MokshaMovies, more than $250,000 tickets have booked for Akhanda2 and the counting is still ongoing. MokshaMovies said, "North America gears up for the divine destruction! Akhanda2 premiere bookings on a rampage."

In the US theatres, Akhanda 2 will be released in these cinemas:

- Tampa: Akhanda 2 is live at Regal Hollywood 18 Port Richey.

- Dallas: West Plano 11 AM XD added.

- Austin: Pflugerville early XD loading.

As per the report, more US theatres are adding the show.

Also, Sacnilk report said, meanwhile, a delayed release seems to be working wonders for the film in North America as the premiere pre-sales continue to soar. With premieres scheduled on December 11, the film has already grossed over $125K in pre-sales, which the makers claim is the fastest Indian film to do so.

Sacnilk cited that according to North America distributor Moksha Movies, Akhanda 2 sold 7200+ tickets within six hours from the time of pre-sales opening. Trade overseas describes this as a phenomenon given Balakrishna's star power and his earlier track record. This also indicates the buzz which doubled up after it was postponed.

Further, reports have said, BookMyShow across India saw bookings of more than 112,000 tickets in just 24 hours.
