Adani Power Q1 Result: Net Profit, Revenue, EBITDA
Adani Power reported a net consolidated profit (after tax) of Rs 3,305.13 crore, down 15% annually from Rs 3,912.79 crore reported in the year-ago period. However, the company's profit increased on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs 2,599.23 crore reported in the March quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25).
The company's net revenue from operations stood at Rs 14,109.15 crore during the June quarter of the financial year 2025-26 against Rs 14,955.63 crore in the year-ago period. Decline in company revenue was the result of lower merchant tariff realisation and import coal prices on an annual basis.
Meanwhile, the company's consolidated continuing total revenue during the quarter remained marginally unchanged due to improved merchant realisation on a sequential basis.
Adani Power's earnings before interest tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), stood at Rs 5,744 crore in Q1F26 against Rs 6,290 crore in the Q1FY25, due to lower revenue and additional operating expenses of recent acquisitions on an annual basis.
Adani Power Q1 Result: Power Generation
Power generation during the quarter was affected by an early monsoon in the June quarter of FY26 in comparison to the first quarter of FY26 because of extensive heatwave phenomenon. Due to the early monsoon arrival in India, the energy demand came down by 1.6% to 445.BU in the June quarter against 452.4 BU in JUne quarter FY26.
"Despite the slowdown in energy demand, APL was able to register a growth of 1.6% in power sales due to greater operating capacity and higher offtake in some of the plants. • Merchant sales for Q1 FY26 were 7.7% higher at 5.7 BU, as compared to 5.3 BU in Q1 FY25," noted the company in its BSE filing.
