Adani Energy Solutions Turns Profitable! AESL Posts Rs 512 Cr Profit In Q1 Against Rs 823 Cr Loss YoY

Adani Energy Solutions Q1 Result Today: Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) reported a net profit of Rs 512 crore in the June quarter of financial year 2025-26 against a net loss of Rs 823 crore reported in the year-ago period. AESL's Q1 performance was driven by improvement in its distribution business.

Despite an annual increase in its net profit, the Adani Group's green energy arm reported a 20.8% decline in its net profit from Rs 647.15 crore reported in the March quarter of financia year 2024-25 (Q4FY25). Adani Energy shares closed 1.58% lower at Rs 849.4 per share on BSE on Thursday.

Adani Energy Solutions Q1 Result Highlights

Adani Energy Solutions reported a net profit of Rs 512 crore in the June quarter. The Ahmedabad-based company's Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) surged by 14% to a record high mark of Rs 2,017 crore during the June quarter.

The company profit was driven by resilient performance in transmission, and distribution segment and significant contribution from smart metering business segment.

Adani Enterprises' profit improved significantly in the distribution segment to Rs 302.79 crore against a loss of Rs 1,182.11 crore reported in the year-ago period. Similarly, the company's profit in the transmission segment increased to Rs 927.18 crore from Rs 806.17 crore reported in the year-ago-period.

Adani Projects Completed In Q1; Pending Projects

Adani Enterprises Limited's cash profit increased by 15% (YoY) to Rs 1,043 crore. The company concluded fully commissioned three transmission projects during the quarter under review including Khavda Phase II Part-A, Khavda Pooling Station-1 (KPS-1) and Sangod transmission.

The company also secured a new transmission project- WRNES Talegaon line. Adani Enterprises Limited capex increased by 1.7x to Rs 2,224 crore. It has installed fresh 24 lakh smart meters during the quarter and aims to instal 70 lakh new meters this year.

"During this quarter, the company made strides to commission three new transmission lines and achieved industry leading daily run-rate in terms of smart meters installation. We expect to not only maintain the same momentum, but further enhance our pursuit of timely completion of our under-construction project pipeline," stated Kandarp Patel, CEO, Adani Energy Solutions.

The company reported strong operational parameters during the quarter, with an average system availability of over 99.8%. Robust line availability resulted in an incentive income of Rs 29 crore in Q1 FY26 reflecting the superior O&M practices in place

Adani Energy Enterprises Outlook

Power demand, changing energy mix and other factors are likely to offer immense opportunities for the company. "AESL remains excited to tap the fresh opportunities falling within the risk-reward matrix and capital allocation policy of the company. We anticipate a significant increase in AESL's capex roll-out and new bid activity from Q2, as the monsoon subsides," Patel added in his statement.
