Despite holidays tax offices to remain open on March 30, 31

Despite holidays Income Tax offices to remain open on March 30, 31 which falls on Saturday and Sunday as per the central board of direct taxes (CBDT) guidelines.

Also, 27 and 29 March are holidays on account of Holi and Good Friday and the offices would be closed.

Special arrangements also be made by the way of opening additional receipt counters.

It is directed that all Income Tax offices through out India shall remain open despite Saturday, Sunday and the receipt counters shall also work during normal office hours, the CBDT said in the press release.

So, do not delay your tax payment and pay your taxes well in advance. One can pay the taxes online through bank e-payment gateway.
